Monthly and quarterly rent payments require a UK bank

First rent payment must be made at least 7 days before
the start of the tenancy.
To reserve a property, students will need to pay a 1-week holding deposit (which will be deducted from the first month's rent). If they cancel before the contracts are signed then they would just lose this holding deposit. If they have signed contracts then they would have to find replacements and could not just cancel the contract.
Q. What is a retainer?
A non-refundable retainer is paid when you wish to take property, when you move into the property it becomes the deposit and will be protected through one of the government authorised deposit schemes.
Q. What if i don't have UK Guarantor?
In such a scenario, the student can either pay upfront or apply to the company Housing Hand to act as your guarantor.
