Mode of payment:
You will need to pay a booking fee by credit or debit card to secure your room. If you choose to pay by credit card, a 2% surcharge will be levied. This will appear as a separate charge on your statement.
This booking fee will become your security deposit once you move in.
Pay in three instalments if you have a UK guarantor – this is a person (not a company or government) who lives and works full time in the UK, is willing to submit to a credit check, and can commit to paying your rent if you fail to do so.
Updates to Policy (Covid-19)
Regular Policy
Once you have paid your holding deposit and you have been allocated a room, then should you decide to cancel then the holding deposit is non-refundable. If you have paid the holding deposit and signed the licence agreement then you will be held to the terms of the licence until a replacement licensee is found.
If you rebook a room for a subsequent year and your deposit is carried forward, and then you decide to cancel this booking then the deposit will be withheld.
Q. What bills do I need to pay?
All utility bills (gas, electricity, and water), WiFi, and contents insurance for your belongings are all included. If you bring your own television or use one that is pre-installed in your room then you will have to buy your own TV license.
Q. Can I change my room?
If you’d like to change your room once you’ve moved in, we’ll do our best to accommodate you (providing we’re not fully booked). Any moves will incur a £50 admin fee. If you’ve moved to a cheaper room, any excess rent you’ve already paid will be taken off the next installment. If you’ve already paid for the whole year, we’ll simply give you a refund of the difference.
Q. What is included in my rent?
All your utility bills (including super-fast broadband and WiFi) are included, as is contents insurance for your room.
Q. How safe is my room?
Your room is very safe - all door entry is key fobbed and all communal space has CCTV.
Q. Can I smoke in my room?
As per your Licence Agreement, if you’re caught smoking or tampering with smoke/fire detectors you’ll be liable for a fine.
