To secure your room for 2020/2021 you will not need to pay a booking fee but a deposit fee of £150 (refundable at the end of your tenancy subject to terms and conditions) to be paid when your Tenancy Agreement has been signed.

Mode of Payment

Credit/Debit Card-

You will need to complete the Credit/Debit card. We will keep these details to process your rent on each rent instalment date.

Cheque

You will need to provide post dated cheques for all the rental instalments in advance. The cheques will be banked by Mezzino on each rental instalment date. Cheques will need to be made payable to “Mezzino Ltd Phoenix Court rent”. Please ensure you write your name, apartment and room number on the back of the cheques.

Internet/Telephone Bank Transfer

You will need to transfer the rent on or before the rental dates. The bank details you need are as follows: -

Updates to Policy

1. If enrolment into the intended course is withdrawn as a result of coronavirus, Mezzino shall release the student from the signed contract subject to them supplying written evidence from their place of study. (University)

2. For students who have failed to get a visa or have received an admit reject for their University, Mezzino's standard cancellation policy will apply

You are required to pay £150 returnable deposit alongside a non-returnable £20 booking fee. Your deposit is refundable subject to a satisfactory inspection at the end of your stay. This deposit is protected by ‘The Deposit Protection Service’ for the duration of your tenancy. 

Q. Can I stay for multiple years?

Many of our residents are returning students who just don’t want to leave us.

If you choose to stay for more than one year we often offer an early booking incentive. We can’t prioritize when we’re handing out rooms though, so apply as early as you can to improve your chances. And if you are staying we can give the rooms a thorough inspection, clean them and attend to any maintenance ready for when you return.

Q. Can I stay at my Building over the summer?

Mezzino offers the opportunity for students to stay on over the summer. There are restrictions in terms of date and availability however if you speak with the local accommodation team they will advise you on availability and how you can book.

Q. How do I become a Resident Co-Ordinator at my building?

As part of our Accommodation Team, we employ several students at each of the property sites to take on emergency call outs, post, administration support, student support duties. These roles are vital and contribute to forming a happy community at all our buildings
