No, we do not charge deposits. However, to reserve a room you will need to pay a £150 advanced rent payment. This will be taken of your first month's rent.
Updates to Policy
Students are advised to not travel back home in the event of restrictions being imposed on a local area. If you have tested positive for Covid-19, the Government advice is to self-isolate in your accommodation at university, rather than return home, so as to minimize the risk to others. Therefore, it will not be possible to release a tenant from their contract.
Regular Policy
If you cancel within 14 days, you are entitled to a full advanced rent payment refund.
Once you have booked and the 14 days has elapsed you are bound into a legal license agreement which requires you to pay the rent for the full license period. If you wish to cancel your booking once the 14 days, you will remain liable for the contractual obligations laid out in the Tenancy Agreement unless you can offer proof that you fit any of the following criteria:
In some cases, we’re willing to cancel the booking if a replacement tenant is found who will take on the rent liability. This decision will be made by the management team at their discretion.
For tenants booking at true Swansea, we will allow an extended cancellation period until our show flat is ready to view during January 2021. Cancellations must be made by 31st January 2021.
Q. Is food and drink available on site?
Yes! Oaka is an Asian cafe and supermarket on-site which serves fresh dishes including; dumplings, steamed buns, sushi and also warm food, including; chicken curry, pork ribs and ramen. Otherwise, we're lucky enough to have some of the city's best bars, pubs and restaurants located right on our doorstep. Unfortunately Oaka is not at our Newcastle location.
Q. Can I bring pets?
Unfortunately not however we do have dog therapy workshops for those who miss their pets!
Q. Worried about my son/daughter living away from home?
We pride ourselves on providing a safe and supportive environment for your child and our teams are trained in first aid, mental health issues and actively encourage healthy lifestyles through our calendar of social events and activities. If you ever have concern for your child, we are here to listen and provide help in any way we can.
Q. Can I visit my son/daughter living at true?
Of course! We love having our guests’ friends and family come visit with us at true. We have rooms available to book exactly for this purpose.
