If the student is an international student then the student is required to pay the rent in full before the move in, if the student does have a UK guarantor and wants to pay in 4 instalments (July, October, Jan and April), then the guarantor needs to sign the contract as well. We will need the guarantor to provide us with UK passport, proof of address and proof of income (bank statement or payslips).
Then the student is required to pay £400 to our bank account to secure the booking.
* 200 deposit (This will be paid back to you at the end of your tenancy agreement, providing no damage caused to the property)
* 180 initial payment (This will be deducted from the total rent amount,)
* 20 Deposit protection (This is none-refundable)
A student with a UK guarantor: 10% in July, 35% in Oct, 35% in Jan and 20% in April.Payments are only accepted through bank transfer.
Cancellation Policy
1. Normally, there are 10 days of the cooling period if the student cancels the booking within 10days of signing the contract, they can cancel the booking and do not need to be responsible for the contract, however, any paid deposit will not be refunded.
2. If the student cancel the booking after the cooling period then he will be responsible for the contract and he will need to find someone the take the room. Again, any paid deposit will not be refunded.
3. During this Covin-19 period (before end of June 2020), if any student cancel the booking due to visa rejection or university postpone the course start time, then the student can cancel the booking without being responsible for the contract, however, any paid deposit will not be refunded. Also, we need to see the official proof from the visa centre or the university.
Regular Policy -
If you cancel this agreement after 7 days from the date of acceptance, you will be liable for paying the accommodation fees for the remainder of the license term, unless a replacement is found. Are placement must be a student who has not already registered for any student beehive accommodation.
If you are unsure of your obligations under this agreement, then you are advised to take independent legal advice before signing.
Q. Can I smoke in my room?
All our properties are non-smoking throughout. There are usually outside areas for you to smoke with ashtrays provided.
Q. Why are my windows restricted?
Your window may have a restricting device that limits how far it opens. It's there for your safety so it's important that you don't disconnect or damage it, or let anyone else do so. If the window fittings do become damaged, you need to tell a member of the property team straight away.
Q. Where can I store a bike?
Bikes must be stored outside in the bike rack area.
