At City Edge student accommodation you will find all rooms to be fully furnished and with everything that you would need for a comfortable stay. You can find Studios offering stunning view of the city with spacious layout and additional living space. There are fitted wardrobes and storage access to ensure that all your belongings a stored nicely. You will also have a fully fitted kitchen with a lounge where you can relax after a long day, watch your favourite shows on the telly or invite your friends over for a chat. Living in a studio offers you the best of both worlds. You can enjoy your privacy when working on your assignment and when looking for a little downtime you can always invite your friends over. The Social Spaces at the property are perfect to enjoy the company of your friends or catch up with each other. The Social Spaces are great when you are looking to relax and unwind.
International students in Birmingham are bound to have a great time as the city is a favourite amongst the students. The Five Ways is one of the very first places that you might end up exploring as they have a the best nightlife to offer. When not out partying try the Balti, Birmingham seems to be the originating place for this curry dish that is served in a steel bowl. There are great museum and galleries as well that one can explore. Or if you are a fan of the Lord of the Rings, then you will be fascinated to find out that the inspiration came from this city and you will be able to find places here that were the inspiration to the author.

You can head over to Shiraz Restaurant that is right across the street and enjoy a well-cooked meal with your friends. If you are looking to enjoy a drink with your friends then The Ivy Bush is close and offers amazing cocktails.

You can cancel your booking up to 14 days after you accept your offer or pay your deposit (the Initial Cancellation Period) providing you have not already moved into the property and we will refund your security deposit in full.
If you are outside the 14-days cool off period, you may cancel, but are required to find a replacement tenant. Until a suitable replacement is found, you may not be released from the tenancy agreement and are liable to pay the rent.
If you do not meet the grades of the university you initially applied to OR fail to receive a VISA, you may be released from the contract and receive a refund of your deposit provided you provide the documents as a proof of this within 2 working days of the results. In case of University rejection, evidence can be a written rejection letter from the University/College/UCAS, or a screenshot of the customer’s UCAS status along with the results, etc. In case of VISA rejection, evidence can be a copy of the letter from the Home Office or other official Visa issuing body as well as a letter from the university, sponsor or institution where they were supposed to be studying. It must clearly show the student’s full name, address and date of issue.
1. Can I live at here?
You must be a full-time student, and be 18 years or older to live with us.
2. What are your contract lengths?
Each of our properties offer different contract lengths and room types.
3. Do I have to pay a booking fee?
No booking fee is charged. When you accept your room offer, you’ll be asked to pay a deposit to secure your room which is secured with a deposit protection service and refunded at the end of your tenancy.
4. Can I choose who I live with ?
If you are applying to live with friends, you can mention the details for the same in preference section while making a booking.
5. When do I pay my rent?
When you accept your room offer, you'll be given three options for payment schedules. These are:
6. Can I pay my rent from overseas?
You can pay your rent either online, or by bank transfer depending on your chosen property. Please note that if you make your payment using a credit card or an overseas debit card, you will be required to pay a surcharge of 1.5%. Contact your chosen property directly for more information.
8. What can I do if my student loan hasn't arrived yet?
You can defer your rent instalments to be in line with your student loan payments if you wish. All requests for deferred payments must be made by 1st August in each academic year to the property team. You will be required to provide evidence of your student loan schedule to the property team in order for the payment plan to be set up. You will be required to pay two weeks rent 14 days prior to your contract start date, which will be deducted from the balance of your first instalment on the agreed date. A one off admin fee of £50 will be charged and payable with the initial 2 weeks rent payment and this £50 admin fee will not deducted from the balance of rent due.
9. Can I book if I'm under 18?
Students 18 or above are only allowed to stay here.
10. What happens to my deposit?
Your deposit is placed into a deposit protection scheme, where it is held safely throughout the academic year and will be returned to you at the end of your contract subject to the contract terms.
11. When do I get my deposit back?
Your deposit will be returned to you after your tenancy agreement has ended and your room has been inspected. The amount returned to you will depend on any outstanding charges and any damages found in your room or the communal areas in your flat. Please see your tenancy agreement for more information. The deposit can take up to 30 working days to be credited at the end of your tenancy period.
12. Do I need a guarantor?
If you wish to pay your rent in three instalments, you will need a guarantor. Your guarantor must be a homeowner or in full-time employment. Some of our properties require guarantors to be UK-based, others can accept overseas guarantors.
13. What if I want to cancel my booking?
Full allocation and termination policies are detailed for you within the booking pages of our website. As our termination policy states, you can cancel your application up to 14 days after the date we confirm your booking is complete (the Initial Cancellation Period). Full security deposit will be refunded.
14. Do I have to move out in the holidays?
No, your room is your room for the full contract period! You won't have to move out in the holidays, so you won't have to remove your belongings every term.
