Live in a private lodge at the Western Sydney University Village Nirimba student accommodation. It includes a single bed, study desk with storage space. However, you will have a shared bathroom, living and kitchen area. So, you can listen to relaxing Kygo music while completing your work in your room or go to sleep early if you want to. Western Sydney University accommodation also provides an en-suite lodge where you will have your private bed, bathroom, study space and storage area. However, you will have to learn to share your lounge and kitchen area with others. So, you can take a hot shower at night before going to sleep or complete your project peacefully in your room. UWS student accommodation also provides a spacious 4-bedroom villa where you will have your own separate beds, study desk, storage area. However, you will have to share your bathroom, kitchen and living area with other flat mates. Security Deposit:
Bond amount equivalent to four weeks rent need to be paid, this will be kept as a damage collateral. Refunded back at the end of the tenancy with any damage charge deducted.
Rent is payable by direct debit either fortnightly, half yearly or annually from a nominated account (a surcharge of 0.37% applies for all credit/debit card payments).
Additional Fees:
Application Fees of $110 is payable.
Resident Activity Fees of $100 is payable before confirming to a contract
Cancelation fee of upto two weeks rent is applicable along with ongoing liability of rent until a replacement tenant is found.
Q. How do I know if I am eligible for First Year Exemption?
You are an Eligible Resident for First Year Exemption if you are a domestic first year student and have applied to the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) for an offer to study at Western Sydney University in the 2016 year (University Offer).
Q. How does First Year Exemption work?
As an Eligible Resident, you can apply and (if accepted by Village Management) enter into a Residential Agreement at University of Western Sydney Village before receiving and accepting an offer to study at Western Sydney University (University Offer) with the knowledge that you can terminate your Residential Agreement with limited liability.
To qualify, you must be an Eligible Resident and enter into a Residential Agreement at Western Sydney University Village for the 2016 year commencing 1 January 2016 and:
The First Year Exemption will not apply where you have accepted a University Offer but you elect to defer or withdraw from your studies.
You must notify Village Management in writing (Resident Notification) within 5 days from the UAC Main Round offers release date (generally around late January )
Q. What do I do if I have moved in and choose not to study at Western Sydney University or do not receive an offer from Western Sydney University?
If you are residing in the Village, you must vacate your residence within 48 hours of providing the Resident Notification to Village Management.
If you comply with all of the above terms, your liability under the Residential Agreement will be limited to the Residential Fees and other charges payable under the Residential Agreement from 1 January 2016 to the date Village Management receives the Resident Notification from you.
If you do not comply with the abovementioned terms, the First Year Exemption will not apply and you will be liable for all Residential Fees and other charges payable under the Residential Agreement.
Q. How do I apply for First Year Exemption?
If you meet the above criteria you will automatically be eligible for First Year Exemption.
To be released from your contract you must notify Village Management in writing (Resident Notification) within 5 days from the UAC Main Round offers the release date.
