Macquarie University Village by CLV is a chic student accommodation located on 122 Culloden Road, Marsfield. It is strategically located close to many university campuses with Macquarie University right across. It offers great amenities like Outdoor BBQ Area, Vending Machines, Student Lounge with Flatscreen TV and Foxtel, Volleyball Court, Table Tennis, and Pool Table, E-library and Car Parking. It offers 1-5 bedroom apartments.
If you wish to live alone or with others Macquarie University Village student accommodation caters to all your needs. You can also choose from either East or West direction. If you choose to live in a 1 bedroom apartment, you will have a fully furnished bedroom, Private En-Suite Bathroom, Study Desk, and being a self-catered private accommodation you've a Kitchennette all to yourself. So, you can sing in the shower or party late till the morning. Macquarie University Village housing also provides a 2-bedroom apartment where you will have your personal bedroom, En-Suite bathroom, study area and storage area. However, you will have to share the lounge and kitchen area with others. So, you can learn how to make ‘Pavlova’ with the help of your flatmate in the kitchen or complete your pending assignments in your room. Macq uni student accommodation also provides a 5-bedroom apartment. You can choose between single and twin apartments. In a 5-bedroom apartment, you will have your personal fully furnished bedroom, private En-Suite bathroom, study desk and storage area. However, you will have to share the living and kitchen area with other flatmates. So, you can organize a party with your flatmates in the living room celebrating the end of semester exams or play ‘Snakes and Ladders’ with them. You can secure your room for 2022 and rest easy knowing that you have the peace of mind to cancel your Residential Agreement for the following reasons:
You are unable to enter Australia due to Government travel restrictions
If you are an International Student that has not yet traveled to Australia and you are not able to enter the country due to Government travel restrictions in relation to COVID-19, you may cancel your Residential Agreement up to 14 days prior to the agreement start date.
Your campus is closed due to COVID-19
If your course does not resume teaching on campus, you may cancel your Residential Agreement up to 14 days prior to the agreement start date.
Your course is now only being offered online
If your course has moved to online-only teaching, you may cancel your Residential Agreement up to 14 days prior to the agreement start date. This policy does not apply if you have the option to take your course on campus but elect to take it online only.
You do not get accepted into the University
If you are a domestic first-year student applying through UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC and you do not get accepted at the university you may cancel your Residential Agreement within 5 days of the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC Main Round offers release date
If you are an International Student and you do not get your Visa, you may cancel your Resident Agreement within 5 days of receiving notification from the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.
You will need to provide in writing, the supporting official evidence demonstrating you meet the criteria within the timeframes outlined above. You will need to provide your supporting evidence to [email protected] including your full name, application number, email, and phone number in your email.
If you have not yet moved in, you will be refunded your security deposit and any other upfront fees. If your contract has already started, you are liable for rent up to the date of notification / moving out of the village and your security deposit will be returned to you provided you have met the move-out conditions. However, application, registration, and cleaning fees (where applicable) are non-refundable.
Q. The contract dates don't suit me, can I negotiate?
All of our fixed term contract dates as advertised are non-negotiable. For flexible contracts, you are able to select your own start and finish dates.
Q. What is the first-year exemption? am I eligible?
If you are a domestic first-year student applying through UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC you may be eligible for First Year Exemption.
You are eligible if:
* You did not get accepted to the university
* Were accepted to another university
* The course is now wholly offered online (ie not being taught internally)
If your contract has not commenced you will be refunded your security deposit and cleaning fee where applicable. Please note the application fee and registration fee if applicable are non-refundable.
If your contract has started, you are liable for rent up to the date of notification / moving out of the village.
Your security deposit and associated fees (excluding application, registration and cleaning fees where applicable) will be refunded.
Please note The First Year Exemption will not apply where you have accepted a University Offer but you elect to defer or withdraw from your studies. You must notify Village Management in writing (Resident Notification) within 5 days from the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC Main Round offers release date (generally around late January – refer to the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC website for actual dates).
Q. Can a couple live in the village?
All of our rooms are single occupancy at the village. The Village does feature "Twin" Rooms, however, please note that individual applications are required to be submitted and both applicants must be students of Macquarie University.
Q. Can I bring my pet?
The village has a no pet policy – this, unfortunately, also includes goldfish.
Q. Do I have to find my own roommates?
You are not required to find your own roommates. You are able to just apply on your own and we will allocate you within an apartment that is suitable.
Q. How are roommates allocated? can I put in preferences?
Roommate allocations are conducted in accordance with any requests, such as study preference, age, and gender. To make a request, you will be prompted to include these during the application process; however, if you would like to add a retrospective request please drop us an email.
Q. What happens if I miss my rent? is there a late fee?
It is important to always pay your rent on time. If you know there will not be sufficient funds in your account prior to the rent date, please make sure that you email management so that we can make arrangements for you.
If your rent is processed and there are insufficient funds, please note that a $20 late fee will occur and you will receive a breach notice from village management.
Q. What about internet at Macquarie University Village?
If you are a Macquarie University Village resident you can access the wireless zones in your room throughout the village using your Macquarie University login.
