Scape Queensberry is a brand new contemporary student accommodation located on 599 Swanston Street, just a stone's throw away from University of Melbourne & 5mins walk to RMIT University. Choose from a range of two-bedroom studio, 1 bedroom, studios and 4-6 en suite shared flats. Also, if you are studying at RMIT or Monash College then you can be under 18yrs and still apply! The property also comes packed with brilliant features to ensure that you have an incredibly great time with your friends, when you’re not busy studying. Enjoy BBQ sessions on the terrace or the large social place on the ground. The fully equipped gym on the rooftop not only allows you to enjoy a good view but helps you stay fit too! The cinema room in the property is another great feature, perfect for those weekends that you do not want to step out but relax at home with your friends. Melbourne's CBD is close too, bringing the best of the city to your doorstep!
All rooms at Scape Queensberry student accommodation come fully furnished with a comfortable bed, ample storage space for all your belongings, a study station and a fully fitted bathroom. The room is all equipped to ensure smooth running from your morning to night. Not having to share your bathroom with rest of the flat will save you oodles of time in the morning! Beds we feel are rather too comfortable for long study hours, ergo the study space. If you are in a shared student apartment in Melbourne, you will be sharing the kitchen with other flatmates and also the living area. It is not only a perfect way to socialise but also imagine the in numerous home parties that you can throw. However, if you are a mature student or simply looking for an independent space then the studio or the one bedroom apartment is more for you at this Swanston Street accommodation. Enjoy a space all to yourself, with your own private kitchen, bed, personal study space, fully fitted bathroom and great storage solution for all your belongings. When not studying you can catch up with your friends in the various social spaces in the building. Gym on the rooftop is a perfect way to start your day! If you are not in the mood to cook, you and your friends can walk down to Universal Restaurant, their pasta is brilliant and you can take our word for it. There is Illusion Bar and Nightclub too within close walking distance where you and your friends can have a great time listening to lively music whilst enjoying your cocktails.
When in Melbourne city you must visit St Kilda, approximately 20mins away from the CBD, the beautiful beach and the broadwalk over-looking Port Phillips Bay is the ultimate thing to enjoy on a sunny weekend. The great amount of bars and restaurants with Live music at times will ensure you and your friends have a great time. If you are a thrill seeker then Luna Park is the place for you. This amusement park is full or rides and games, you will not even notice the day coming to an en here!
Booking fees
If the booking is for less than 90 days, AUD $500 bond needs to be paid. If the booking is for 90 days or longer, bond of 4 weeks rent and two weeks rent in advance needs to be paid.
Rent payments
The rent is to be paid fortnightly in advance.
DEFERRAL
If you have a booking and are not able to arrive in Australia because of COVID-19, you can defer your contract to the following semester. The same terms of the original booking will carry forward to the new semester booking, including the type of room you booked and even the same weekly rent.
CANCELLATION
If you need to cancel your booking with us for one of the reasons detailed below, all you need to do is email us no less than 14 days before your contract start date and we will cancel your booking and provide a full refund of any fees paid.
We will provide flexibility to defer or cancel if you are impacted by any of the below reasons, all you need to do is provide supporting documentation:
• Visa Denied
If your visa application is rejected or the visa centre remains closed in your respective country.
• Flight Cancellation/Travel Ban
If your scheduled flight is cancelled and an alternate flight is not available, or if there is a travel ban preventing travel from your country of origin or in Australia preventing you from arrival.
• Intake Delay of University/Education provider
If the start date of your course has been postponed to a later date or semester, or the university does not offer face-to-face learning.
** The above Deferral and Cancellation Policy is only available to new students with a booking commencing in Semester 1, 2022 who have not previously stayed with at one of the Scape Group properties and are currently located outside of Australia. Please note that once your contract commences, this policy no longer applies. This policy relates to individual bookings only; group bookings are not subject to the same terms and conditions. For students currently in Australia, please refer to Atira’s Standard Cancellation Policy. Should you need to delay your arrival by more than 14 days we may need to relocate your booking to an alternate property within The Scape Group portfolio in close proximity to your current building.**
Q. Who is eligible to book?
Student under 18 and above are approved to accommodate from RMIT, Monash College.
Q. How long is my rooming agreement?
Tenancy is available for both 52 and 26 weeks.
Q. What does the rooming agreement include?
Rent and bond amounts, payment details, internet allowance, content insurance.
Q. What is a Bond?
The rental bond is money that you pay at the beginning of a tenancy. Students are requested to pay a Rental Bond equal to 4 weeks standard rent. The Rental Bond is in addition to your rent in advance payment.
Q. Are there rooms available for differently abled students?
Yes, rooms are accessible for wheelchair users and have lifts connecting all floors.
