RMIT Village student housing Melbourne is located on Flemington Road. You will be close to University of Melbourne, RMIT University & the Melbourne's CBD as well! Choose from a range of one bedroom apartment or share your space with your friend in a two bedroom studio. All rooms at RMIT Village student accommodation, Melbourne are well furnished and offer the best of student living experience in the city. All rooms come fully furnished with a comfortable bed, ample storage space and a dedicated study station where you can work on your projects. If you are looking for a personal space then you will love the studio or one bedroom apartments. These apartments will have a personal fully-fitted bathroom and being a self-catered student accommodation you will have a fully fitted kitchen where you can prepare your meals everyday! There are 2 bedroom apartments available as well, should you choose to share the university living experience with your friend. You will both have two separate beds, separate study stations, a bathroom, storage space, a fully fitted kitchen and the best of all a balcony where you can enjoy your evening coffee sessions! This RMIT accommodation Melbourne has great facilities that you will enjoy during the length of your stay! Chill with your friends in the student lounge where you can watch the match with your friends on the TV or you could play a game of pool with your friends in the games room. There is bike storage space available at the property as well, so you would not need to clutter your room at this RMIT accommodation. No matter what the weather, if you need to relax there is a heated pool at the property that is perfect! The BBQ area is perfect for Sunday brunches with your friends. You can have a garden party as well, since the lush courtyards at the property are so beautiful! The study rooms are perfect for when you are looking to work on a group project or study for an exam.
Right outside this Melbourne uni accommodation, there is Akita Japanese Restaurant, so whenever you are not in the mood to cook simply head out here with your friends. If looking for a place to go out and enjoy a few drinks with your friends then The Drunken Poet is your place.
There is plenty for international students in Melbourne to explore. Melbourne has beautiful street art on display in its nooks and crannies and something that you must explore. Its not for nothing that Melbourne is considered one of the street capitals of the world. The Botanic Garden is just walking distance away from the city and worth a visit. You will be able to enjoy an oasis of calm, greenery and peace here. So if you are stuck on a topic maybe come by for a walk to clear your head! You will also be able to enjoy the shopping experience in the city at Chapel Street and Bridge Road in Richmond! If lucky you might bump into an international celebrity on your shopping spree!
Security Deposit:
Bond amount equivalent to four weeks rent need to be paid, this will be kept as a damage collateral. Refunded back at the end of the tenancy with any damage charge deducted.
Rent is payable by direct debit either fortnightly, half-yearly or annually from a nominated account (a surcharge of 0.78% applies for all credit/debit card payments).
Payment need to be done before move-in: Bond, cleaning fee ($99), and first installment (4 weeks rent)
Bond 2 weeks rent as Bond for 4-10 weeks contract; 4 weeks rent as Bond for 11-23 weeks contract
Updates to Policy

Cancellation fee of up to two weeks rent is applicable along with ongoing liability of rent until a replacement tenant is found.
Q. Who is eligible to apply for accommodation at RMIT Village?
All students who are currently enrolled in or intending to undertake tertiary education are eligible to apply for accommodation. This includes research assistants and full-time, part-time, undergraduate and postgraduate students. RMIT Village only accommodates students under the age of 18 years from the University of Melbourne.
Q. No Visa no pay policy
If you are a prospective international resident of the Village and you were not able to secure an offer of a place at RMIT University or unable to secure a visa to study in Australia, your room reservation will be terminated without penalty.
To cancel your booking, please complete a Contract Termination Form. International resident contracts can only be canceled prior to the Residential Agreement contract start date.
Q. Are pets allowed?
No pets, including fish, may be kept in the Village. Additionally, residents are not permitted to bring animals into any building of the Village. This rule does not apply to the extent that it restricts the keeping of a guide or hearing dog.
Q. Can I choose my flatmates?
If you’d like to share an apartment with a friend, please specify this on your application form. Given our high demand, we can’t guarantee to fulfil all requests, but we’ll definitely try our best to accommodate you.
The earlier you and your friend apply, the easier it is for us to assign you to the same apartment.
Q. Can my partner live with me?
Spouses, partners, boyfriends or girlfriends can apply for accommodation at RMIT Village, as long as they are students at RMIT. Couples will be provided with individual rooms, however, you can request to be allocated rooms in the same apartment. One bedroom apartments are single occupancy only.
Given the demand for rooms, we can’t guarantee to fulfil all requests but we’ll definitely try our best to accommodate you.
