It is strategically located close to many university campuses and the University of Canberra. It offers studios, non-en-suite rooms in shared apartments and a 1 bedroom apartment.
One can choose to live a lavish life at University of Canberra Village student accommodation by opting for a stylish studios which feature 26 individual bedrooms where you will have your private bedroom, private en-suite bathroom, study area, living and since it is a self-catered student accommodation you will have a fully fitted kitchen area as well. So, you can practice your play dialogues or make a quick meal in the kitchen. The University of Canberra Village also offers non-en-suite rooms in shared apartments wherein you will have to take turns to use the bathroom or you can also debate about your favorite superheroes in the living area with other flatmates. A one-off application fee of $50 is payable when submitting an application for accommodation.
A one-off security deposit equivalent to four weeks rent is payable. Refunded back at the end of the tenancy with any damage charge deducted.
A cleaning fee of $59 is payable on acceptance of the offer.
In addition to the weekly residential fee, a $29 utility rate that includes electricity, gas, and water is payable per week.
Rent is payable by direct debit either fortnightly, half-yearly or annually from a nominated account (a surcharge of 1.6% applies for all credit card payments).
Cancelation fee of up to two weeks rent is applicable along with ongoing liability of rent until a replacement tenant is found.
Q. What happens if I lose my key or fob key?
It's important to make sure that you always know where your keys are. If you do misplace your room key, please note that there is a $20 cost to replace your Fob Key and $197.50 cost to replace your metal room key. These costs will be placed directly onto your account and need to be paid immediately.
Q.How often will my room be inspected?
In conjunction with the RTA, inspections occur every 3 months.
Q. What happens if I get locked out of my room?
If you are locked out of your room during office hours, please make your way to reception.
Q. How much does it cost to do laundry?
We have 16 front loader washing machines, which are $3 per wash.
There are also 16 dryers, which are $2 per dry. There is a change machine available within the laundry if you require change.
Q. Can I book common spaces?
The common spaces are for all students.
Q. Can I have people stay over?
As per the village rules, you can have a guest stay no more than 2 consecutive nights in a 7 day period
Q. Is there after hour support?
Yes, there is 24/7 support of a staff member or resident assistant.
Q. Can I live if I am under 18?
To be eligible to live at the village, you should at least be turning 18 by the end of the first semester. A 'Guarantor Form' is required to be submitted prior to room confirmation.
Q. Can I have people to stay in my room?
