Charlotte House student houses Newcastle is in an ideal city centre location just a few minutes’ walk from Newcastle’s Central Station. Charlotte House has a total of 109 non-ensuite bedrooms.
There are between 3 and 6 bedrooms per apartment and each apartment shares a lounge, kitchen and bathrooms. We take group bookings and individual bookings at Charlotte House which makes it ideal if you want to share with your friends or if you want to make some new friends.
Charlotte House is budget style accommodation in the heart of Newcastle ideal for students who are studying at the University of Newcastle or Northumbria University.

Large rooms are great for students looking for a little more space to be able to relax in. Single bedrooms, sharing bathroom and kitchen facilities with other bedrooms within the flat. Our Single Plus Rooms offer over 10 sq m private single bedroom with a study area.

Deposit Fees:
£250 to confirm the booking (Deducted from your first rent instalment.)
Your reservation fee of £250 is due when you book your room. This is not a deposit, and once paid, is not refundable.
Rent Payments:
Pay in Full (14 days prior to your contract start date)
Pay in 3 instalments, due in September, January and April (UK based guarantor required)
Pay in 10 instalments with an additional one-time admin fee (UK based guarantor required)
Mode of Payment:
Pay using a debit card or a credit card (1.5% surcharge) online, over the phone or at the reception
Pay via direct debit or bank transfer
Updates to Policy:
100% risk-free COVID cancellations if your course changes to online only!
Bangor students now have the opportunity to cancel or defer their tenancy agreements if their courses were only available online due to the COVID-19 virus.
All property ask is for students to supply evidence from their university to support their cancellations/deferral!
Regular Policy
Please be aware that once you have signed your contract to stay with us, unless due to exceptional circumstances, you will be tied into the contract and expected to cover the cost of your room unless you are able to source an alternative resident to take over your contract.
If you have concerns that you might not be able to stay with us (due to VISA issues, etc.), please speak to your Accommodation Manager at the earliest opportunity
Q. Is WiFi Available?
Free high-speed internet and wifi is available throughout the building(s), including bedrooms.
Q. Is the property pet-friendly?
No, the property is not pet-friendly.
Q. Do I need to have a UK based guarantor?
You will need to have a UK based guarantor if you would like to pay your rent by instalments. If you choose to pay the total rent upfront then you will not be required to have a UK based guarantor.
Q. Do I need to pay any bills?
Your weekly rent includes all electricity, heating and water bills and room internet access. However, we follow a ‘reasonable use policy’ and if we feel your use of any of the utilities (electricity or water) is excessive, we will notify you of our concerns, and if the excessive use does not change, we reserve the right to charge you for such excessive use.
Q. Will my room be cleaned?
Your accommodation is cleaned for your arrival. Once you have moved in you will be responsible for cleaning your room and any shared areas within an apartment.
