A non-refundable holding deposit of £100 to allocate a room. Unfortunately, cannot refund the holding deposit under any circumstances. When you move in your holding deposit will turn into a damage deposit and will be [returned at the end of your license minus any damages]. You will be required to top up the holding deposit prior to move in to make the deposit up to £250.

Book with Confidence
Book a room with Capitol Students for the 2021/22 academic year and you can cancel your booking before 31st May 2021. There will be no penalty charges and you will receive a full refund of any money paid.
No Visa No Pay, No Place No Pay
For 2021/22 academic year bookings, if you meet any of the conditions below, you will be able to cancel your booking and receive a full refund of your Booking Fee and any paid rent payments,
(a) No Visa No Pay: if you don't get your visa to come and study in the UK, you must send us the visa application rejection letter within 72 hours of receiving it. This policy is valid until 15 September 2021.
(b) No Place No Pay: if you fail to gain the required qualifications and is not accepted into the University, you need to send us the university rejection letter, or proof that the exam results don’t meet the requirements of the university. You must send us the proof documents within 72 hours of receiving them. This policy is valid until 15 September 2021.
General Policy
Once you have paid your holding deposit and you have been allocated a room, then should you decide to cancel prior to the start of the licence period you will be entitled to a full refund of the Holding Deposit. If you decide to cancel after the start of your licence period then you will be held to the terms of your licence agreement. The deposit can be used to cover any outstanding rent in these circumstances. Covid-19 As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Scottish Government has introduced the Coronavirus (Scotland) (No. 2) Bill. This allows renters to give 28 days notice to quit their licence to occupy, whatever the length of their licence agreement.
Q.Can I bring my car?
All our developments are based in fantastic city centre locations, with great transport links nearby. We also try and be as eco-friendly as possible so we don't encourage students to bring cars. Very limited parking is available on a case-by-case basis – if you have a genuine need to keep a car at university, you can contact the management to discuss your options. All our developments have nearby public car parks, perfect for when friends and family visit. Short term car access is available for dropping off or picking up your belongings.
Q. Can my friend store their things/belongings/luggage in my room?
No. Letting someone else store their things in your room is a breach of your Licence Agreement, and it will also invalidate your insurance coverage.
Q. Can I have guests to stay?
Of course. We normally allow a maximum stay of two days per visit for guests but they will need to sign in/out at reception (this is outlined in our guest policy which you will sign when you move in). Guests are not allowed their own key.
