There are no other booking charges than the deposit which is converted to the security deposit once they move into the property. If they do not have a UK guarantor, the rent will need paying in advance of the contract start date. This will be stated in the application if they choose the no guarantor option.
If they have a UK guarantor they can pay in three termly instalments, if they don't have a guarantor payment is needed in full. If they are a sponsored student and wish to pay in a monthly payment plan, please ensure proof of sponsorship is uploaded to the student status section of their application and we will arrange for a manual contract payment plan. Sponsorship payment plans are usually across 10 monthly payments.
Updates to Policy
Our cancellation policy surrounding the COVID 19 climate also works similarly. If the student chooses to cancel as they decide they do not want to attend the university, they will be charged a weeks rent from the deposit. If cancelled after the contract start date, they will need to find a successor to take over their tenancy or they will be liable for the rental value of the tenancy. If the University cancels their course or they cannot travel to the country due to travel restrictions, they will need to email evidence of either case through to us which will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Regular Cancellation Policy
Students have 14 days to cancel their booking. If they cancel after this time they will be charged a weeks rent from the deposit. If the student cancels after the contract start date, they will need to find a successor to take over their tenancy or they will be liable for the rental value of the tenancy.
