There are great social spaces to be enjoyed as well with the outdoor courtyard, TV room, games room, regular social events and a vending machine for all your late night snacking.
All rooms at New Bridewell student accommodation are well and thoughtfully designed and ensure that you have a great and comfortable stay. Each studio you will find to be very stylishly designed with a spacious workstation, organised storage for all your personal belongings, a small double bed, personal kitchenette – fully fitted so as whatever you need you will find here. You will have your personal shower as well so no more lurking in queues in the morning. If you decide on coming with your partner then there is great news, as you would not be required to pay anything extra for your stay. If not in the mood for relaxing in your room then you could unwind with your friends in the TV room or play a game of pool in the games room. The property also has an outdoor courtyard that is perfect for Sunday brunches and to enjoy the infamous British sun, which is rare so you will not want to miss it. If you are new in the city and worried that it will be hard to make friends and meet new people then fret not! The property organises regular social events where you can meet all the residents and make friends. There is a dedicated space for bike storage at the property, should you decide on bringing yours along. If you are studying late in the night and hungry then you will love the vending machine, great for mid-break snacking.
When living at New Bridewell Bristol you will enjoy the hustle bustle of the city and be close to the finest of bars, restaurants and shopping as well. International students in Bristol will also find Brunel’s SS Great Britain fascinating. It is a ship museum, you buy a ticket here once and it lasts you a year. So you can keep coming back for it is indeed a fun place to be. You can set foot in the ship itself and see everything inside. The ship on display here was recovered from the South America where it lay in the bed of the sea. It was brought back to where it was made in Bristol and now is a popular tourist attraction. Activities are ongoing for the length of the day here to keep you engaged and interested. You can also participate in a treasure hunt.
You will find yourself living across The Christmas Steps, it is a great pub to unwind at with your friends if you are looking for a mid week break. Enjoy the groovy music, old school feel and a few drinks with your friends. If you are on the other hand looking for a place to sit down and eat then you will love the many options you have surrounding you. Booking Fees has to be paid to confirm the booking. The booking fee is converted into a damage deposit at the start of your tenancy agreement.
Pay in Full before the tenancy start date, get a discount of 2%
Pay in 4 instalments.
Pay in monthly instalments, if you can demonstrate that you are in receipt of a monthly bursary.
Mode of Payment:
Pay using a debit card or a credit card (with 2% surcharge) online, over the phone or at the reception.
Or pay via Pay-to-Study for easy bank transfer.
You get 72-hours cool off period (Free cancellation period) to cancel your booking if you sign the tenancy agreement by 31st July. If you cancel within the 72-hours period, your booking fee is refunded.
If you make your booking on or after 1st August, you get a free cancellation period of 24-hours to cancel your booking and get a refund on your booking fees.
If you are a prospective first-year student and your offer at your university is withdrawn as a result of you not achieving the required grades, you may cancel your booking by demonstrating with a proof and get a refund on your booking fees.
If you’d like to cancel in any other scenarios, you will be required to find a replacement tenant to take over your tenancy. Until a suitable replacement is found, you will be obligated to pay any dues as per the contracted agreement.
When can I move in?
A few weeks before arrival, you will be invited to book a move-in slot by your accommodation team.
What is the cancellation policy?
Book online until the end of 31st July, without seeing the accommodation first, and we run a 72-hour cooling-off period, allowing you to cancel your booking within 72 hours of paying your booking fee. Bookings made from 1st August for the forthcoming academic year have a 24-hour cooling off period. To cancel, email us.

What deposit do I need?
To secure the room, you only need to make the booking until the cooling off period of 24 hours. Post that you can make the booking by paying the booking fee. The booking fee is non-refundable but the good thing is that you'll get it back if nothing's owing for damage or outstanding rent at the end of your tenancy. Deposits are fully secured by 'Tenancy Deposit Scheme' in England and Wales or the 'My Deposits' scheme in Scotland.
Can I have pets?
Sorry, pets of any shape and sizes are not allowed.
Do I need a TV license?
Whether we supply the TV or you bring your own or watching it through 4TV or BBC iPlayer, you'll need to have a valid TV licence unless we tell you we're covering it.
Am I allowed to have guests over?
We're all grown ups here, so of course, occasional overnight guests are allowed. Please don't invite someone to live more than three consecutive nights through, and always check with your flatmates first that they're okay with extra house guests.
Will my student flat be cleaned?
Your student room and any shared areas within your apartment will be spotlessly cleaned when you arrive, and some of our tenancies include complimentary cleaning throughout your time with us.
Can I smoke inside my accommodation?
The property is smoke-free and this includes all types of E-cigarettes. Smoking is not allowed in any private and communal areas. Designated smoking areas can be found outside of the building.
How do I setup my internet connection?
You'll have a broadband, covering the whole building.
Are my possessions insured?
Rest assured that every single booking comes with free content insurance with Endsleigh Insurance. To upgrade your insurance, contact Endsleigh directly.
Is parking available for visitors?
It is located centrally, close to good public transport links and other facilities, so you should be able to get around easily without a car.
How do I collect my post?
The post can be delivered directly to your door by Royal Mail or collected from on-site post boxes. Larger parcel deliveries are accepted at the reception, but we accept no liability for losses or damages.
Is there laundry on the site?
Yes, so please don't bring any portable washing machines with you! There is on-site laundry.
Is there a charge for using Debit/Credit card?
International Students paying with a credit card or Non - EU debit card will have a 2% charge on the total amount being paid. However, there is no charge for payments using a UK or EU debit card.
Can I stay in my room over the summer holidays?
We will try and accommodate requests for summer student accommodation extensions when possible.
Do I need to move out over the Christmas & Easter holidays?
No, your room is yours for the duration of your tenancy. You only need to move out of the room at the end of the agreement.
Will my room be inspected?
Your room/apartment will be fully inspected at least three times during your tenancy. During these inspections, we check for cleanliness, damage and for missing items.
At each inspection, you will be told if there is to be a charge for putting anything right. You will be invoiced immediately for recharges for the first two inspections and on the final inspection, a deduction will be made from your deposit.

What if my student loan is late?
If your student loan is late, contact the accommodation team at the property as they will be able to advise you.
