You can live life king size in the 1 bedroom apartment which is featured with a fully-fitted kitchenette and dining area, spacious bathroom, loads of wardrobe space and a study area, so you can study effectively. If you are looking to socialize and grow your friend circle, you can opt for the 6-bedroom apartment. It comes with all the same features as the one bedroom apartment, with only one difference. You will be sharing the bathrooms with your flatmates. There is also a spacious communal lounge in the apartments where you can get the chance to know your flatmates better.
ECU Village Bunbury offers a range of facilities such as parking spaces for your vehicle, so you can rest assured it will be safe. There is an onsite coin-operated laundry, which you can use at a time convenient for you. If you would like to soak some sun or just get a breath of fresh air, you just need to walk out into the outdoor courtyard. There is a barbecue area too; perfect for a get together in the evening, where you could probably cook up a storm with your friends!
The good news is that you on days when you want to not venture out too far and want to just unwind with friends and flatmates over drinks, there are a variety of bars within short walking distance off ECU Village. To mention a few worth a visit are Lost Bills, Sala Wine Lounge & Kitchen and Mojo’s. If you are not in the mood to cook, you can take the easy way out and get yourself a take-out or even dine outside, as there are ample restaurants within walking distance. When venturing out to explore the city of Bunbury, there is much to do from visiting the Back Beach, Koombana Bay and Bunbury Wildlife Park to unlimited places to eat, drink and shop! All these destinations are easily accessible from ECU Village Bunbury.

To confirm your accommodation, a one-off security deposit of four weeks rent is payable. The security deposit will be used to cover any damages or additional cleaning fees applicable when you move out of the Village. The deposit is fully refundable subject to you having paid all other amounts under your Residential Agreement.
Rent is payable by direct debit either fortnightly, half yearly or annually from a nominated account (a surcharge of 0.76% applies for all payments made by credit card or debit card)
Updates to Policy
If you are an International Student, who wishes to apply for Semester 2 2020 accommodation but are unable to enter Australia due to Government Travel Restrictions, in relation to COVID-19, or a Domestic Student who is unable to attend University due to campus closures we have developed this flexible booking option for you.
• Any International Student who has applied at their nominated University, and is awaiting approval to travel to Australia.
• Any Domestic Student who has applied at their nominated University, and is awaiting confirmation that their courses will resume on campus.
More Information
Once you have secured your accommodation and entered into a Semester 2, 2020 Residential Agreement you will be eligible for this support option.
• Provide to us in writing the supporting official evidence stating that you are subject to Government Travel Restrictions relating to COVID-19 at a minimum of 14 days prior to the Residential Agreement contract start date
OR
• Provide to us in writing the supporting official evidence stating that your course will be delivered online.
• If you comply with these steps you will be refunded your Security Deposit, and Cleaning Fee (where applicable). Please note the Application Fee and Registration Fee (if applicable) are non-refundable.
• If the written notice is sent less than 14 days before the commencement of your Residential Agreement normal Early Termination policies apply.

Q. What is the first year exemption? am I eligible?
If you are a domestic first-year student applying through UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC you may be eligible for First Year Exemption.
Q. What is the eligibility?
* You did not get accepted to the university
* Were accepted to another university
* The course is now wholly offered online (ie not being taught internally)
If your contract has not commenced you will be refunded your security deposit and cleaning fee where applicable. Please note the application fee and registration fee if applicable are non-refundable.
If your contract has started, you are liable for rent up to the date of notification / moving out of the village.
Your security deposit and associated fees (excluding application, registration and cleaning fees where applicable) will be refunded.
Please note The First Year Exemption will not apply where you have accepted a University Offer but you elect to defer or withdraw from your studies. You must notify Village Management in writing (Resident Notification) within 5 days from the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC Main Round offers release date (generally around late January – refer to the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC website for actual dates).
Q. Am I able to leave my belongings in my room before my contract starts?
You will not be able to access your room or leave any belongings in the village before your contract starts.
Q. Can a couple live in the village?
All of our rooms are single occupancy
Q. Can I live in the village if I do not study at ECU?
Students from ECU, WAAPA, and PIBT (Perth Institute of Business and Technology) are all eligible to live at the Village. If there is availability, ECU staff are also able to live at the Village.
Q. Can I choose my own room?
You are able to submit preferences for specific rooms during the application process. We will do our best to accommodate all requests during the allocation process; however, due to the high capacity of requests, we cannot guarantee anything or make any promises.
Q. If the office is closed on the weekend, how can I check in?
If you are looking to check into the village on the weekend, there will be a member of staff or resident assistant on duty who will be able to assist you. Please notify us beforehand in an email.
Q. Can I bring my pet?
The village has a no pet policy – this, unfortunately, also includes goldfish.
Q. Do I need to bring kitchen utilities, such as a kettle or toaster, with me?
The kitchens are already kitted out with basic amenities, such as the fridge and the microwave. However, you will need to supply your own utilities such as a toaster, kettle, and sandwich press for example. If you live in shared accommodation, you can always wait until you meet your roommates to organize a group shop to figure out what everyone has brought along with them.
Q. Do I have to find my own roommates?
You are not required to find your own roommates. You are able to just apply on your own and we will allocate you within an apartment that is suitable.
Q. How are roommates allocated? Can I put in preferences?
Roommate allocations are conducted in accordance with any requests, such a: study preference, age, and gender. To make a request, you will be prompted to include these during the application process; however, if you would like to add a retrospective request please drop us an email.
