About Solly House - Sheffield 2

Solly House student accommodation located on Solly Street is indeed one of the most unique of the 8 properties that form Sheffield 2 student village. It is at an 11 minutes walking distance from the University of Sheffield; at 15 minutes from Sheffield Hallam University and has an excellent city centre location. Choose to live in one of the ensuite rooms in shared flats, Studio or a two bedroom apartment. You can avail facilities like secure car parking, kitchen cleans, on-site maintenance team, printing services and many more.

You get the unique opportunity to choose from ensuite flats, two bedroom apartments and studios here at Solly House Sheffield. If you enjoy having your own privacy and like having friends over once in a while, the Studio is the right choice for you as it comes with a fully fitted kitchen, study area, private shower, wardrobe and ample storage so that you can stash away all that extra luggage. If you have a friend you want to move in with or just think that 3 is a crowd, go in for the two bedroom apartment. If you like a more sociable environment and are of the view that more the merrier, then the shared flat will be an apt choice. Both of the two bedroom and shared flats have features similar to the studio except there is a communal kitchen and lounge area – a great space to show off your cooking skills, unwind with flatmates and have friends over.

There are excellent facilities and services offered at Solly House student accommodation such as 24 hours security, secure bike storage and car parking, printing services on premises so that all that last minute paperwork is taken care of. For those of you who will be sharing the communal lounge and kitchen areas; there is good news! These areas will be cleaned out and made sparkly clean by the in-house housekeeping and kitchen cleaning teams. Doing laundry can get taxing since you have to commute to the nearest Laundromat every time, but there is an on-site laundry area which will allow you to do laundry at your own convenience and in your own sweet time. In case of any problems you may be facing in your apartment or anything that needs fixing, you can easily approach the on-site maintenance team. There is a provision for a communal lounge which offers a space to socialize and meet new people.

Just 7 minutes walk away; you can find Dog & Partridge Pub and the Trippets Lounge Bar are perfect places to socialize with friends, as they have an excellent drink and food menu, at prices that won’t burn a hole through your pocket! The Grind Café is only 2 minutes from you so you can have breakfast or brunch and get that much-needed cup of coffee to recharge yourself. If you ever burn your meal while cooking, don’t stress out, because there is Butlers Balti House right next door and numerous other restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance; Lucky Fox, Aspalas and Noodle Doodle are absolutely recommended.

Solly House student accommodation is very close to Tesco’s so you can meet your daily needs and only an 11 minutes stroll to Sheffield City Centre which offers everything from lively music scenes, endless restaurants, numerous entertainment options and plenty of green spaces to relax. The city centre in itself offers an impressive range of bars and nightclubs although, if you want to be in a buzzing student environment head to West Street which is only a few minutes walk from Solly House Sheffield.
