Vita Student Newcastle Westgate, a brand new student accommodation located in Newcastle’s city centre with a less than 15 min walk to Northumbria University and 10mins walk to University of Newcastle. Essentials

Advance Rental Payment - Equivalent to 2 weeks rent needed to confirm booking and this amount will be deducted from the first rent instalment.

Damage Deposit - £350 to be paid along with 1st instalment and this will be refunded back at the end of the tenancy subject to any potential damages.

Payment Plans - In Full, 2 instalments (Guarantor needed) and 4 instalments (UK Guarantor needed)

1st instalment date - 1st August

Payment Method - Payment can be made by bank transfer (from a UK or international bank account)

Cancelation within cool off period (5 days), 2 weeks advance rent will be refunded.

Cancelation outside cool off period (5 days) and when student has made all the required payments, student will need to find replacement tenant to take over the contract.

 

Replacement student needs to pay 2 weeks advance rent and security deposit with 1st instalment. Once replacement has paid, then the original student will get a refund of the £350 deposit (from DPS) and they will get a refund of the rent minus the 2 weeks advance rent – they do not get the 2 weeks advance rent back.

Q. Can I change my room?

If you wish to change your room, our on-site management staff would be more than happy to help and will do their best to accommodate your request depending on availability.

Q. If I am doing an internship/ placement year or part-time course, am I allowed to live with Vita Student?

Yes, as long as you are still registered as a student and your placement is part of your degree/course then you can still live here.

Q. Is booking exclusive to students?

Yes, renting is exclusive to students and all the apartments are designed specifically with students in mind. Booking a room guarantees you 200MB internet, WI-FI, a flat screen Smart TV, all utility bills included in the price, free gym access and a great communal space to socialize with other like-minded people.

Q. What happens if my loan doesn’t get paid on time and I can’t pay my instalment on time?

If you choose to pay by instalments and are reliant on a student loan, then you will also have provided a Guarantor.  If your student loan is late, we do require you still to pay the rent on time and would ask your Guarantor to assist with the rental payment until your loan arrives.
