To secure your room for 2022/2023, a Deposit fee of £250 (refundable at the end of your tenancy subject to terms and conditions) to be paid when your Tenancy Agreement has been signed.
Mode of Payment
Credit/Debit Card-
You will need to complete the Credit/Debit card. We will keep these details to process your rent on each rent instalment date.
Cheque
You will need to provide post dated cheques for all the rental instalments in advance. The cheques will be banked by Mezzino on each rental instalment date. Cheques will need to be made payable to “Mezzino Ltd The Nest rent”. Please ensure you write your name, apartment and room number on the back of the cheques.
Cancellation Policy
We apply a 14 day ‘cooling off period’ to bookings during which time all monies paid are refundable. Please refer to your tenancy agreement or the sample agreement on our website for your specific property for cancelation details in relation to your booking.
If you decide to leave early you remain responsible for the rent for the duration for your tenancy. However, if you are able to find a suitable replacement for your room, then the tenancy will be cancelled. In line with your tenancy agreement refunds will only be given when a suitable replacement is found.
Updates to Policy
- If enrolment into the intended course is withdrawn as a result of coronavirus, Mezzino shall release the student from the signed contract subject to them supplying written evidence from their place of study. (University)
- For students who have failed to get a visa or have received an admit reject for their University, Mezzino's standard cancellation policy will apply
Q. Can I share with my friends?
Yes – please make it clear on the application form who you would like to share with. It is best to book early so that this can be arranged as it is subject to availability.
Q. Can I choose a specific room?
In all cases you can choose a specific ‘room type’. Dependant on the property, you may also be able to choose a specific room of your choice. Please contact the property for details.
Q. Who will I be allocated with?
We try our utmost to allocate likeminded students together (eg based on year of study). Single-sex apartments are also available. However, this is subject to the type of rooms booked by our students and may not always be possible.
Q. When is my rent due?
To allow you to avoid paying one big lump sum and to co-inside with student loan payments, rent is collected in instalments at different times of the year depending on the property you are living in. Please review your license agreement which clearly details rent due dates for your property. Full details are available on request from your chosen property.
Q. What is included in the rent?
Weekly rent quoted is inclusive of utility bills and broadband services (subject to a fair usage allowance).
