You will find all the rooms at Ashenhurst House accommodation well furnished with personal study space, a comfortable bed, ample storage for all your belongings. It is great for socializing as the living area and kitchen are shared. You can cook together and host parties. The area is great for having your group study sessions as well. There is lots of green space around the property to be enjoyed. If the sun is shining outside then you know where to head!

Deposit : 

You don’t need to pay anything at the time of booking. However, there is a £100 deposit in August prior to moving in to your accommodation (please give us a call for the exact due date, or visit your portal if you already have a booking with us).

The £100 deposit is fully refundable at the end of the tenancy subject to contractual obligations.

A guarantor is a person over the age of 21 (such as a parent or guardian) who is happy to be financially responsible for you if you are not able to make a payment. They must live in the UK.

We do not do any credit checks on a guarantor, we just need them to be able to provide two forms of ID and be able to provide an email address.

 Travel Restrictions - 

- Students who have applied to attend a University or a Higher Education Establishment for entry in September 2021/22, in any of the cities in which DIGS operates, will be eligible to be released from the Licence/Tenancy Agreement, if as a result of the Government imposed travel restrictions, they are prevented from travelling to or within the UK to take up their place at their First Choice university.

- Students who have applied to attend a University or Higher Education Establishment for entry in September 2021/22, in any of the cities in which DIGS operates, will be eligible to put back the start date of their Licence/ Tenancy Agreement to the Saturday before the travel restrictions are lifted if, as a result of the Government lifting travel restrictions, they are able
to travel to or within the UK to take up their place at their First Choice university.

University Course Delayed

Students who have applied to attend a University or a Higher Education Establishment for entry in September 2021/22, in any of the cities in which DIGS operates, will be eligible to put back the start date of their Licence/ Tenancy Agreement to the Saturday before their course starts if, your University changes the official start date of your course to a later date.

University Course Cancelled

Students who have applied to attend a University or a Higher Education Establishment for entry in September 2021/22, in any of the cities in which DIGS operates, will be eligible to be released from the Licence/Tenancy Agreement if their First Choice university course is no longer running for September 2021.

All students released under the Covid Booking Pledge are entitled to a refund of the Security Deposit.

Q. How do I book?

It's easy. Register on this site and follow the application procedure explained on our book now page. 

Q. When is my rent due?

Your rent is split into four instalments; August, October, January and April and, where possible, coincide with the student loan payment dates. 

Q. Do I need to buy a TV license?

Normal TV Licensing Authority regulations apply to any TV you bring yourself. Please note that the landlord is not held responsible for ensuring you have a TV licence.

Q. Do I need to pay council tax?

If you are a full-time student then you will not need to pay council tax.

Q. Can I live with friends?

Yes, we would be happy to make you a group booking. There is a facility on your application form to add the names of persons you wish to live in the same flat and/or room with. Your friends also need to have the same names on their application. We recommend that you and your friends return your booking forms at the same time to ensure you are allocated together.

Q. Can I change rooms?

If you move in and do not like the room, then we will, wherever possible, try and move you. This is subject to space being available. A £100 administration charge is applicable.

Q. How do I report a problem?

We have on-site maintenance on hand to ensure that the site runs smoothly. 

Q. Can I change my mind?

Before signing the Assured Short Tenancy Agreement you can cancel your booking. Once you have completed and returned your Tenancy Agreement you will be liable for the full term of the contract.

Q. Does the property have an Equality Policy?

The property does not discriminate under any of the Protected Characteristics of the Equality Act 2010 and actively promotes tolerance and understanding for all.

Q. What does my Endsleigh Insurance cover?

The property has arranged some contents insurance for you with Endsleigh, the No.1 student insurance provider. This cover does not protect laptops and phones or other items when you are outside your room or all risks inside your room. It is important for you to check this cover.
