We take hygiene very seriously

  1. All our properties adhere to their countries’ respective national codes of conduct with respect to sanitization, quarantine, and social distancing. These standards are in keeping with the W.H.O.’s guidelines on preventing the spread of COVID-19.
  2. Details of the measures and policies adopted by each property are clearly stated on our property pages. Each property is tagged according to the pandemic-related facilities they offer.

Complete transparency, no ambiguity

  1. Under the Pandemic Shield Features section on the property pages, you will see what measures our properties are taking to ensure hygiene and safety. For example, installing hand sanitizer stations, placing social distancing markers, offering PPE kits, etc.
  2. You can also find details of pandemic-specific booking options on the property pages. These will explain whether a property offers free cancellation, or delayed check-in, or any other amendments to your booking.

Flexible with cancellations and refunds

Do you allow free cancellations?

We are working closely with our partners to develop the most efficient and considerate policies, and many of our properties have adopted flexible cancellation policies to help you book without worries during this time. If my university pushes back my starting date, do I still need to pay rent?

In the event that you are unable to check in on time because of visa issues, or if your university start date has been deferred, properties tagged “Covered under Pandemic Shield” and  “COVID-19 Flexible Booking Options” will try their best to accommodate your changing requirements. What happens if I am unable to travel/get a visa/join university due to COVID-19?

We understand that these are unpredictable times. We are working very closely with our partners to ensure that they are able to accommodate requests of this nature. In the event of such a concern, please write to us at [email protected] and we will discuss it with the properties and help you come up with a suitable solution.

Do all your properties adhere to local regulations?

All our properties and partners follow the highest standards of sanitization, and adhere to quarantine and social distancing norms mandated by local government bodies. Please write to us at [email protected], if you face any issues, or need any additional information.

What preventive measures/precautions are your properties taking?

Under Pandemic Shield, we are working to ensure that our partners implement all of the W.H.O.’s guidelines on cleaning, sanitizing, and ensuring social distancing. All of our partner properties have adopted more frequent cleaning schedules and have put in place additional facilities such as sanitizer stations in common areas in the property, protective equipment for staff on site, social distancing markers, and more. Our properties also ensure that social distancing norms are followed and conduct regular temperature checks for residents, visitors and staff. What precautions do I need to take?

At our properties, we request you to behave in a responsible and considerate manner, as you would in any common space. 

  • Ensure that you wear a mask at all times when in common areas in your property or when you go out
  • Make sure that you follow mandated social distancing norms and avoid crowded areas as much as possible.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water frequently, and also use sanitizers as required. 
  • Make sure that you frequently disinfect your student room.

What happens if I am found to be COVID-positive, or if I have been in contact with a COVID-positive person?

The staff at your property have been trained to immediately get in touch with local health authorities in such a situation, and will ensure that you receive medical advice and care as required. Please reach out to the staff on site immediately, and they will guide you through the next steps.

Can I have friends/visitors in my room or in common areas?

Social distancing norms at different properties vary as per the local regulations. We recommend that you get in touch with the on-site staff at your property for details on this.
