Point Campus (formerly known as The Tramshed & The Woodworks) is a stylishly modern and a brand new student accommodation located in Point Village, smack in the middle of Dublin’s hottest area. All rooms at Point Campus are distinctly furnished to ensure that you have everything you need within your own room. Your room will come furnished with a double bed having a mattress, built in storage, wardrobe, hanging spaces, desk with a pin board, USB charging points and full-length mirror. You will have your own private shower, no more races to make it to the shower first. The apartment comes with a fully fitted kitchen for all the flatmates to use. The kitchen will also be equipped with cutlery, crockery, and glasses for your use. There will also be a microwave, toaster, kettle too. To keep the apartment clean you will find a hoover and an iron to keep your clothes crisp. Few of the apartments also have a TV in the shared area, which is a perfect way to unwind after a long day in lectures. Watch a movie or enjoy your favorite daily show whilst having your dinner. You and your flatmates can also enjoy movie marathons and even have your friends over.
When not buried in your books you will find there is plenty to do at the property to keep you engaged. You will find social spaces with comfortable seating and TV where you can socialize with the other residents as well or you can invite your friends over to chill with. There is a club lounge area as well that you will love. Thinking pre-drinks on Friday, this is your place! If you have your exams coming up and are looking for a place to study with all your friends then the study area or the lecture theatre is a great place for the same. You will find here gaming pods, cinema room, rooftop terrace and courtyard areas too! If you are strict about your fitness routine then you will love the fitness studio and the fully equipped gym on-site.

Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Booking Information for 2020/21
If you book a room at this property for September 2020 today but are then disallowed from travelling to the UK due to the relevant
Government travel restrictions, exclusively as a result of Covid-19 and therefore no longer require the room, you will be released from your booking – see below Terms & Conditions.
Terms & Conditions:
- This guarantee is open to all international students applying for higher education in
the UK for the 2020/21 academic year.
- If an applicant is disallowed from travelling to the UK exclusively as a result of Covid-
19, they need to provide evidence from either the UK Government or from the
- Government where you live confirming this advice (in English). This must be provided
to property no later than 1st August 2020.
- On production of the relevant Government confirmation (in English), the applicants
booking will be cancelled in full, with a full refund of any 2020/21 rental payments
- Any applicants who do not provide evidence by the dates outlined above, will be held
to their tenancy agreement and will be liable for all contractual charges.
- Email confirmation will be sent to all students that are accepted onto this guarantee
once they have paid advance rent and confirmed their guarantor details where
- Please note in the case of dual occupancy both parties must be eligible for this
guarantee in order for it to apply.
- Please note that if you cancel the room and rebook, the room may not be available,
and the price may be revised in August and September 2020.
- These terms and conditions are correct as at 25th March 2020 but property reserves the right to change them or remove this guarantee at any
time without prior notice.
If your notice of cancellation is received in writing within 24 hours after you have submitted an application form and the contractual term of the agreement has not commenced, then the initial payment of €300 will be refunded in full.
If your notice of cancellation is received within 24 hours after you have submitted an application form and before 1st August 2018 and the contractual term of the agreement has not commenced, you may cancel your booking by writing however you will not get your initial payment of €300 back.
If your notice of cancellation is received on or after the 1st August 2018, it will not be accepted until a replacement tenant is found for your room. You will remain liable to pay the occupancy fees for the room and all other charges and costs under your Licence for the period to the date that a replacement tenant commences. Also, you will be charged €100 admin fee for change of contracts.
Q. Can I live with my friends?
When making your booking you can request to share with friends. We do not hold rooms for your friends, so it is up to you to make sure your friends apply at the same time as you so that we can try to place you in a flat together. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee allocations or preferences.
Q. Can two people share a room with a double bed in it?
Yes, Double Occupancy rooms are available on request.
Q. Can I cancel my contract before I move in?
If you cancel your contract before the contract begins you will be subject to our cancellation terms and charges. Cancellations will only be accepted upon receipt of a completed cancellation form
Q. Can I cancel my contract and move out early?
Once the contract has begun you are liable for the full term as stated in the license to reside. Cancellation terms and conditions apply.
Q. What do I need to bring with me on arrival?
Make sure you bring your accommodation booking confirmation with you as well as some form of ID
Q. Is there somewhere to park when I am unpacking?
Point Campus has no parking available on site. Point Square car park is right next to Point Campus.
Q. Will there be someone to collect my keys from?
Point Campus has staff on site 24 hours a day. At the start of the contract, we have extended opening hours and you are advised to arrive when the office is open. However, if you arrive when the office is closed, instructions outside our office will advise you how to contact the member of staff on duty.
Q. What if I am not happy with my allocated room or my flatmate?
Part of the university experience is meeting people from different backgrounds, interests, and cultures. We hope that you will enjoy the diversity of university life however, should you be unhappy it is worth spending some time talking to your flatmates to try to come to some mutually agreeable solution. It is usually not possible for a room move, please speak to management if you have any problems and should someone else be in the same situation we may be able to swap rooms between residents. It is important to remember that moving to university is a stressful time and the initial teething problems are usually resolved within the first few weeks.
Q. What cooking equipment is provided in my flat?
All flats come with a cooker, hob, microwave, toaster, and kettle provided. We also provide a variety of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils for your use.
Q. Can I get bedding supplied?
Point Campus provides a mattress and a mattress protector; however additional bedding is not supplied. If you wish to contact the hall prior to your arrival, they will be able to advise if bedding can be bought on-site. Alternatively, you can purchase a bedding pack from UniKitOut prior to coming to University. Quote HOST18 to receive a 10% discount.
Q. What Broadband packages are there?
Wi-Fi (up to 100Mb) is available for free.
Q. Is a TV provided?
TVs are provided in the lounges of each flat and in all Studio flats. TVs are also provided in the bedrooms of the Penthouse flats. There are also TVs within the communal areas. Please be aware the TV license is not provided and flatmates will have to purchase this if they were to watch the TV within their own apartment or room.
Q. Where can I store my bike?
No bikes may be stored within the flats. Bike storage is available on site on the Lower Ground Floor.
Is there always a member of staff on site?
All our residences are staffed 24-hours a day, 7 days a week by trained caretakers or security guards.
Q. What about security?
We provide 24-hour security with CCTV, electronic access control and a member of staff on site at all times. Our residents also have a responsibility for ensuring the site is kept secure and are asked to ensure the accommodation remains safe by not allowing access to non-residents and reporting anything suspicious to staff immediately.
Q. How do I report maintenance?
As a resident at Point Campus, you are given access to the online portal where maintenance jobs are able to be logged. For emergencies, contact the caretakers outside of office hours.
Q. What happens once I have reported maintenance?
The caretaker will attend to make the necessary repairs reported as soon as possible. Occasionally, it will not always be possible to complete the repair on the first visit and a subsequent visit may be necessary. Repairs are responded to on a priority basis, please be aware that it may not be possible to attend to your problem the same day you report it, especially at busy times of the year.
Q. Can I smoke at Point Campus?
Smoking is not permitted in any area within Point Campus; this includes bedrooms, communal areas, stairways, and external courtyard areas. A designated smoking point will be made clear outside of the building.
Q. Can I have guests to stay?
Occasional overnight guests are permitted to stay in your bedroom only, provided your flatmates agree. All overnight guests must be signed in at reception for safety, security and so that staff knows who is on site in the event of an emergency. You must accompany your guests at all times whilst they are on site and you are responsible for their behavior.
Q. Can visitors just walk in?
Our accommodation has secure fob only access at the main entrances to ensure that only residents have access to the site. All visitors should be signed in at reception, this is for reasons of safety, security and to ensure that in the event of an emergency, management knows who is on site. Visitors must be accompanied by residents at all times whilst on site.
Q. Can I bring a pet?
No pets of any type are permitted at Point Campus.
Q. Do I need a Guarantor?
All Irish students will be required to provide an Irish guarantor if paying in installments.
Q. What should I do if I am having financial problems?
If you are having financial difficulties, you should contact a member of the management immediately. Failure to do so could result in interest charges being added to your account if you fail to pay on the due dates as well as legal proceedings being started against you and, where applicable, your guarantor. Management staff can usually advise you of where to go to get additional financial help which will assist you in meeting your financial obligations.
Q. Do I have to pay any Utility bills?
Our rents are inclusive of electricity consumption up to the value of €300 per room. Statements are issued monthly and should your share of the charges incurred by the flat exceed this allowance you will be required to make additional payments for the additional electricity consumed. No charge is made for water consumption. No charge is made for the usage of Gas.
Q. How do I return my keys?
During office hours, they should be returned to the management office. If you move out when the office is closed you should put your keys in an envelope with your name and room number clearly marked on it, and return them to the member of staff on duty.
Q. Will I get a deposit returned to me?
Point Campus does not take deposits. All damages will be invoiced for after your departure.
