When not buried in a book or partying the night away, draw yourself out to witness the other marvels that the city has to offer. Whether you are a student at Trinity College Dublin or not, you must still visit the Trinity College library, The Long Room here has been known to resemble the Jedi Archives in Star Wars. Interested yet? Cliffs of Moher that is just beyond the city, makes for a spectacular trip. Movies like Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince and The Princess Bride have been shot here and with good reason. The view is breath-taking, but we do not want you to take our word for it. Payment Method:
- Direct Debit from an IRISH bank account. A Direct Debit mandate will be sent with your AST and rent payment schedule. There is no charge for this service.

- IRISH EUR Payments via Debit Card. To meet PSD2 regulations, the property’s payment system charges a flat fee of €6.00 to all tenants when the tenant pays booking fees, deposits or non-automated rent instalments via our online portal provider (StuRents) from UK, EU EEA via debit card. 

- Non-EUR  Payments via Debit Card. The property’s payment system charges a flat fee of €6.00 and card fee (up to 2%) to all tenants when the tenant pays booking fees, deposits or non-automated rent instalments via our online portal provider (StuRents) outside of the EEA.

The property does not accept cash payments, credit cards or cheques. Debit card payments cannot be taken over the phone, or at the accommodation reception.

Please note if you book accommodation 14 calendar days prior to your check-in date, you will be required to pay using a debit card via our online process.

 

 

 

 

 

If you choose to cancel your booking and you have not seen the accommodation, you have 14 calendar days after signing your AST to do so.

If you made your booking fewer than 14 calendar days before your contract start date, you may cancel your booking until the earlier of (a) 14 calendar days after signing your contract or (b) the date you actually check in. 

In both these cases, if a written request is provided the property will refund your booking fee (less a €50.00 administration fee).

If you choose to cancel your booking and you have seen the accommodation or booked after 31 July, you have 24 hours after signing your contract to do so. If a written request is provided the property will refund your booking fee (less a €50.00 administration fee).

Cancellations after the cooling off period(s) i.e. 14 days - You will not be able to cancel your booking after your cooling off period has ended and would be liable for the contract until a suitable replacement tenant is found. 

If you do decide to leave your accommodation during your contracted term, you will need to find a suitable replacement (who must be enrolled as a full-time student at a local university, or college) to take a new tenancy agreement for your room for the remaining period of your contract. 

What all documents need to be submitted for confirmation of booking?
Tenant

  • Identification: passport, driving licence, or photographic national identity card
  • Student status: valid student identity card, or offer/acceptance letter from university/college

IRISH Guarantor (required if paying in instalments)

  • Identification: passport, driving licence, or photographic national identity card
  • Proof of income: pay slip or bank statement (showing incoming salary)
  • Proof of address: mortgage statement, or utility bill

All acceptable documents must be in English. The property reserves the right to reject any documentation that is not in English, or that is unclear.

What is the deposit amount?
A refundable deposit of €150 is required to confirm booking.

What payment options are available to pay?
Pay in full or pay in 9 instalments (requires IRISH guarantor)

Who is a Guarantor?
If you are planning to pay your rent in instalments, you would need to provide a qualified IRISH Guarantor. A Guarantor is a responsible person who agrees to pay any outstanding rent and associated rent recovery costs for the tenant for whom they are acting as Guarantor. The agreement is a legal document and should not be signed lightly.
Providing a Guarantor is common practice in the Ireland and provides security that the rent will be paid in full.

The minimum requirements for a Guarantor are; 

  • IRISH resident
  • Homeowner
  • In full time employment (earning a minimum of 30 [thirty] times the tenant monthly rent)

Housing Hand can act as your guarantor if you do not have a qualified UK Guarantor. The Housing Hand guarantor service can be selected during your tenancy application.

What is included in the rent?
