Highlight, Dublin is a brand new student accommodation. Located on Thomas Street in Dublin, its just 15 minutes walk from Trinity College Dublin and the Dublin Institute of Technology is about 20 Mins. For those joining, Dublin City University and University College Dublin are both easily accessible by bus. You can choose from a wide variety of ensuite rooms in shared flats and a few non-ensuite rooms suitable for all budget types. There are provisions for world-class amenities like a gym, quiet study area indoor and outdoor social spaces and much more.

If you have a group of friends you want to live in with or would like to share a space with new people while having the privacy of your own room; Highlight student accommodation Dublin would be a perfect choice for you. All rooms are well furnished with a single/ small double bed, work space, spacious storage and an ensuite shower. However, there are a few rooms where you have the option to share the bathroom. All flats have a communal kitchen and lounge area; a perfect place to relax and unwind with flatmates and friends. Essentials

Booking Fees has to be paid to confirm the booking. The booking fee is converted into a damage deposit at the start of your tenancy agreement.

Rent Payments:

Pay in Full before the tenancy start date, get a discount of 2%
Pay in 4 instalments.
Pay in monthly instalments, if you can demonstrate that you are in receipt of a monthly bursary.

Mode of Payment:

Pay using a debit card or a credit card (with 2% surcharge) online, over the phone or at the reception.
Or pay via Pay-to-Study for easy bank transfer.

You get 72-hours cool off period (Free cancellation period) to cancel your booking if you sign the tenancy agreement by 31st July. If you cancel within the 72-hours period, your booking fee is refunded.

If you make your booking on or after 1st August, you get a free cancellation period of 24-hours to cancel your booking and get a refund on your booking fees.

If you are a prospective first-year student and your offer at your university is withdrawn as a result of you not achieving the required grades, you may cancel your booking by demonstrating with a proof and get a refund on your booking fees.

If you’d like to cancel in any other scenarios, you will be required to find a replacement tenant to take over your tenancy. Until a suitable replacement is found, you will be obligated to pay any dues as per the contracted agreement.

 

 

Q. When can I move in?

A few weeks before arrival, you will be invited to book a move-in slot by your accommodation team.

Q. Can we book as a group?

Of course.

Q. What deposit do I need?

To secure the room, you only need to make the booking until the cooling off period of 24 hours. Post that you can make the booking by paying the booking fee. The booking fee is non-refundable but the good thing is that you'll get it back if nothing's owing for damage or outstanding rent at the end of your tenancy. Deposits are fully secured by 'Tenancy Deposit Scheme' in England and Wales or the 'My Deposits' scheme in Scotland.

Q. Can I have pets?

Sorry, pets of any shape and sizes are not allowed.

Q. Do I need a TV license?

Whether we supply the TV or you bring your own or watching it through 4TV or BBC iPlayer, you'll need to have a valid TV licence unless we tell you we're covering it. 

Q. Am I allowed to have guests over?

We're all grown ups here, so of course, occasional overnight guests are allowed. Please don't invite someone to live more than three consecutive nights through, and always check with your flatmates first that they're okay with extra house guests.

Q. Will my student flat be cleaned?

Your student room and any shared areas within your apartment will be spotlessly cleaned when you arrive, and some of our tenancies include complimentary cleaning throughout your time with us.

Q. Can I smoke inside my accommodation?

The property is smoke-free and this includes all types of E-cigarettes. Smoking is not allowed in any private and communal areas. Designated smoking areas can be found outside of the building.

Q. How do I setup my internet connection?

You'll have a broadband, covering the whole building.

Q. Are my possessions insured?

Rest assured that every single booking comes with free content insurance with Endsleigh Insurance. To upgrade your insurance, contact Endsleigh directly.

Q. Is parking available for visitors?

It is located centrally, close to good public transport links and other facilities, so you should be able to get around easily without a car.

Q. How do I collect my post?

The post can be delivered directly to your door by Royal Mail or collected from on-site post boxes. Larger parcel deliveries are accepted at the reception, but we accept no liability for losses or damages.

Q. Is there laundry on the site?

Yes, so please don't bring any portable washing machines with you! There is on-site laundry.

Q. Is there a charge for using Debit/Credit card?

International Students paying with a credit card or Non - EU debit card will have a 2% charge on the total amount being paid. However, there is no charge for payments using a UK or EU debit card.

Q. Can I stay in my room over the summer holidays?

We will try and accommodate requests for summer student accommodation extensions when possible. 

Q. Do I need to move out over the Christmas & Easter holidays?

No, your room is yours for the duration of your tenancy. You only need to move out of the room at the end of the agreement.

Q. Will my room be inspected?

Your room/apartment will be fully inspected at least three times during your tenancy. During these inspections, we check for cleanliness, damage and for missing items.

At each inspection, you will be told if there is to be a charge for putting anything right. You will be invoiced immediately for recharges for the first two inspections and on the final inspection, a deduction will be made from your deposit.

Q. What if my student loan is late?

If your student loan is late, contact the accommodation team at the property as they will be able to advise you.
