The 36th President of the United States, Lyndon B. Johnson, opened the LBJ Presidential Library in 1971 to make all records of his administration available to the public and to have an institution that would serve as a “springboard to the future” for generations to come. The library regularly hosts events and forums with politicians and other prominent figures to discuss important local and global issues. UT Austin students can sit in on these discussions, explore the permanent exhibits, and more.

UT Austin students are welcome to take a dip in the indoor and outdoor leisure pools or swim laps in the indoor or outdoor lap pools as part of their yearly tuition fees.
