Fancy a New Year with a twist? Studying in Australia and not going home for the holidays, but do not be glum just yet there is a New Year coming right up for you that you would have never imagined before, a warm in your shorts kinda Christmas and New Year.
Now for Christmas you can share the holiday spirit at Martin Place, that gets its own tall Christmas tree with lights and ornaments, there shall be street carols singing each night here until the day of Christmas. This will get you right into the Christmas spirit if you are already not feeling it yet.
Martin Place will also feature a life size LEGO Santa on his sleigh, this attraction is a must watch. If you are feeling particularly adventurous then hop on the sleigh and drive along with Santa.
Martin Place shall also have Bulgari lights that shall come on and be in the shapes of the iconic pieces for the Bulgari collection.
St Mary’s Cathedral will be the star attraction of Sydney’s Christmas celebrations, there shall be Lights of Christmas that shall be presented by PAYCE. It shall be a magical light and sound show. There shall be a 3D projector that shall be there for Christmas themed storytelling. That is not all the projection also doubles up as a spectacular backdrop for Christmas. Before the light and sound show commences you shall be able to witness the live performances singing Christmas carols.
The Rocks Very Merry Markets
This New Year season the Very Merry Markets shall be trading late for the holiday season. Students can find a lot of handmade, homemade unusual gifts for family and loved ones. That is not all you shall also not go hungry whilst shopping , as the market is filled with culinary delights that you all would love, so keep shopping and eating.
Now how does a holiday meal end without dessert? Well it doesn’t, which is why you need to head to KOI Dessert Bar. Once there you shall want to go there everyday until New Year as they have on sale Ferrero Rocher delights, created by the Reynold Poernomo who has been picked as the Ambassador for Ferrero Rocher and shall be showcasing ways for adding magic to desserts by decorating it with the chocolate. The created dessert is called Rocher Delight and shall be available for as long as sold out, so head over there as soon as possible as you most definitely do not want to miss this.
This festive season a few buildings will come to life with a spectacular lighting display. These buildings include Town Hall, MLC Centre, The Galleries, Wittner, Bally, Citibank, Qt, David Jones and many more, so take a stroll and check them out for yourself.
