From Lorde to Chance the Rapper and Paul McCartney to Pearl Jam, get ready to have a wild virtual party from the comfort of your student homes. The artist line up is nothing less than impeccable. Be sure to check it out beforehand. Quarantine isn’t so bad after all. Isn’t Lollapalooza 2020 the perfect blessing in disguise?
Well, you know how the rest of the story goes, phenomenal performances, homemade cocktails and a few close friends (be sure to socially distance and have a sanitisation station ready).
Without further ado, here’s how you can spruce up your home for Chicago’s largest music festival without making a big fuss about it. Lazy people, listen up!
1. All About those Lights
The best kind of house parties are the ones that you don’t have to spend too much on. Good lighting is the best way to amp up any room and you can easily get your hands on a super cheap one online. Get yourself a revolving disco ball and you’re good for the night!
2. Good Sound Saves the Day
Don’t have a sound system that’ll make your house go boom-boom? Then beg, borrow or steal (kidding about the last one) Hook it up with your TV and you’re all sorted! We’re sure that your neighbours won’t mind the loud music for a few nights because guess what? It’s Lolla 2020 time!
3. Take the Party Outside
Before you assume that we’re asking you to step out of your student accommodation (that’s a big no-no!), we mean taking it out of your room. Did you think we’d forget our friends who’re under strict quarantine? Hell naw! Partying with friends is cool but have you ever ordered takeout four days in a row and lazed around like a couch potato? Here’s the perfect opportunity to do it. Who’s got time to dress up anyway? Host a virtual party with your buddies over FaceTime or Zoom and get ready to party with as many friends as you want. Ain’t no party like a virtual party! Amirite or amirite?
