Feeling homesick at accommodation this festival season? Things to lighten you up in Brisbane.

Uncategorized Dec 26, 2016

Not going home for the holidays? Have a sinking feeling since everyone at university is almost gone home now? For many students it can seem a little lonely and you might miss being home with your family, but this necessarily does not mean that it will be any less fun. You will get to experience a new city and how they do their holidays. The holiday spirit around the globe is the same, however how everyone celebrates it is different.

Oh what fun it will be to celebrate Christmas in Brisbane.

Everything you associate with Christmas will not happen here. Cold, winters, snow covered roads, hot chocolates (well you can still have them if you fancy them so much) but well you get the idea. Brisbane celebrates a warm Christmas. Imagine Santa Claus in his shorts sipping a Pina Colada (more like it)! This Christmas will give your senses a shock, whatever you have learnt so far, unlearn it and lets begin again!.

Christmas markets at Stanley Street is where you need to start your day, with shops and stalls selling Christmas goodies and handmade gifts. Also there will a lit up Christmas tree and carol singing all the way.
