Urbanest Carlton is a new located on Berkeley Street in Victoria. It is only a 10 minute walk from University of Melbourne and RMIT. It offers Twin Share Studios, Studios and En-Suite Room in 2 bedroom apartment. Also, if you are studying at RMIT, University of Melbourne, Trinty or Monash College then you can be under 18yrs and still apply!
Urbanest Carlton Victoria gives you multiple options when it comes to student-living. One can choose for a spacious Twin Share Studio apartment wherein you will have separate single beds divided by a wall or bookshelf. You will have your own En-Suite shower, study desks, storage area and Flatscreen TV. However, you will have to share the kitchen and living area with your flat mate. So, if you and your sibling have made it to the same University, you can live in the Twin Share studio apartment where you can fight for the remote control or help each other in completing college assignments. Urbanest Carlton student accommodation also provides an independent Studio apartment with Balcony where you will have your private bedroom, En-Suite bathroom, stylish kitchenette and living area with Flat screen TV. So, you can enjoy the beautiful city view from your balcony while sipping on tea or Binge-watch your favourite TV shows without any problem. Urbanest Carlton Victoria provides an En-Suite room in a 2 Bedroom apartment wherein you will have your personal bedroom with personal study and storage space. Booking fees
If the booking is for less than 90 days, AUD $500 bond needs to be paid. If the booking is for 90 days or longer, bond of 4 weeks rent and two weeks rent in advance needs to be paid.
Rent payments
The rent is to be paid fortnightly in advance.
Updates to Policy
Property understand, the importance of flexible and stress-free bookings during the COVID-19 pandemic for students wanting to live at Urbanest in Semester 2, 2020.
That is why they are providing more flexibility to give you so much more peace of mind, when you reserve rooms at the respective property.
Now with the uStress Less framework^, students will have even more flexibility.
If current Australian Government travel restrictions are extended beyond the commencement date of your contract, the commencement date will be adjusted to be in line with the Government travel restrictions being lifted.
As a bonus, if you have a confirmed booking for Semester 2, 2020 and you are unable to arrive before 1 November 2020, Urbanest will defer your booking to Semester 1, 2021 at your Semester 2, 2020 rates**.
All commencement dates will be adjusted to 14 days after the travel restrictions are lifted in Australia.
Students that have a confirmed booking have an option to cancel their booking at any stage before the travel restrictions being lifted in Australia without incurring a penalty.
Upon the travel restrictions being lifted in Australia affected students will have a further 5 days to cancel their booking without incurring a penalty.
Students must inform the property if the travel restrictions are not lifted in their country at the time when they have been lifted in Australia.
Regular Policy
DEFERRAL
If you have a booking and are not able to arrive in Australia because of COVID-19, you can defer your contract to the following semester. The same terms of the original booking will carry forward to the new semester booking, including the type of room you booked and even the same weekly rent.
CANCELLATION
If you need to cancel your booking with us for one of the reasons detailed below, all you need to do is email us no less than 14 days before your contract start date and we will cancel your booking and provide a full refund of any fees paid.
We will provide flexibility to defer or cancel if you are impacted by any of the below reasons, all you need to do is provide supporting documentation:
• Visa Denied
If your visa application is rejected or the visa centre remains closed in your respective country.
• Flight Cancellation/Travel Ban
If your scheduled flight is cancelled and an alternate flight is not available, or if there is a travel ban preventing travel from your country of origin or in Australia preventing you from arrival.
• Intake Delay of University/Education provider
If the start date of your course has been postponed to a later date or semester, or the university does not offer face-to-face learning.
Q. Who is eligible to book?
Student under 18 and above are approved to accommodate from University of RMIT, University of Melbourne, Trinity College, Monash College.
Q. How long is my rooming agreement?
Tenancy is available for both 52 and 26 weeks.
Q. What does the rooming agreement include?
Rent and bond amounts, payment details, internet allowance, content insuarance.
Q. What is a Bond?
The rental bond is money that you pay at the beginning of a tenancy. Students are requested to pay a Rental Bond equal to 4 weeks standard rent. The Rental Bond is in addition to your rent in advance payment.
Q. Are there rooms available for differently abled students?
Yes, rooms are accessible for wheelchair users and have lifts connecting all floors.
